The Hot Dog Shop in Houston will hold an eating contest on Saturday awarding $300 ($250 to the winner).
The Black Sheep Lodge in Austin, TX will hold a corn dog eating contest on July 4 awarding $250 to the winner.
Hungry Todd Rungy has posted a video recorded at the 2010 Fantastic Fest in Austin of his attempt to confront actor Ryan Reynolds about a 2007 Huffington Post blog entry attacking competitive eating. Rungy has also set up a facebook group calling for a boycott of Reynolds' new movie The Green Lantern. (In the blog entry Reynolds calls Don Lerman "my main man")

Bonnie and Clyde's Speakeasy in Waxahachie, TX (south Dallas area) will hold a hot dog eating contest (first prize $100) held in conjunction with a lingerie show on Saturday.

The MLE facebook lists Joey Chestnut, Pat Bertoletti, Sean Gordon, Adrian Morgan, Nate Biller, Matt Stonie, Gary Klucken, Bam Martinez and Randy Harrison as expected competitors.
The contest page on the festival’s website has not been updated from last year except for the new date; Ben Monson is listed as an expected entrant.

Muldoon's in El Campo, TX (southwest Houston area) will hold a crawfish eating contest on Thursday awarding $500 to the winner. ($50 entry fee)

It has been over two weeks since Pat Bertoletti won the Wingstop wing eating contest in Dallas on April 13 and results have not been posted on the contest page on IFOCE.com. (Results have been added to more recent contest pages.) Bertoletti's winning total has not been listed on the IFOCE records page despite being more than three pounds greater than the previous record.
Sonya Thomas and Pat Bertoletti are expected to compete in the La Costeña Feel the Heat Jalapeño Eating Championship Challenge on Sunday according to a mySanAntonio blog entry.
