This would make the Palm Beach sweet corn eating contest April 24 the earliest possible 2016 meeting of Joey Chestnut and Matt Stonie.

- Long Pond, PA (Pocono Raceway) 6/5
- Norfolk, VA (Harborfest) 6/12
- Queens, NY (Mets game) 6/19
- Washington, DC (Giant National Capital BBQ Battle) 6/25
Registration opens March 14.
If that is the final list, there will only be one Pacific & Mountain time zone qualifier (Las Vegas) and one midwest qualifier (St. Louis). 7 qualifiers will take place between Charlotte and Syracuse with no east coast qualifiers outside that region.
