Reno.craigslist.org has a request for competitive eaters to attempt food challenges in sessions on September 6, 7 and 8. The casting call claims that the biggest names in MLE will participate in the project. The filming site is not mentioned, presumably it will be in north Nevada.
Kislings Tavern in Baltimore will hold a wing eating contest Sunday awarding Ravens tickets, Orioles tickets and a bat signed by Oriole Chris Davis.
San Gennaro cannoli contest canceled
SILive.com reports that a cannoli eating contest will not be held at this month’s San Gennaro Feast in Little Italy. With a 13 year duration, the competition was probably the second longest running MLE event after Nathan’s (via @stateneats).

A pizza eating contest will be held at the World's Largest Pizza Festival in Beverly Hills tomorrow. Recording artists 2 Chainz and Tyga will perform at the event, which has an entrance fee of $1000.
PamplinMedia reports that Joey Chestnut will judge a cooking contest Saturday at Chinook Winds in Lincoln City, OR, site of an IFOCE rib eating contest from 2003 to 2010. This will preclude him from doing the Buffet Bowl at the Buffalo Wingfest and probably make travel to Sunday's wing eating contest unpleasant, which he is still doing according to a Daily News Online interview.
The West Reading Tavern will hold a burger eating contest on September 19 awarding $500 to the winner. Qualifiers will be held on September 5, 6, 12 and 13.
