Joey Chestnut on Man vs. Food home page

(From “I”/dogsarefunyes) A picture of Joey Chestnut, apparently eating a Burritozilla from Iguana’s Taqueria, is on the home page of Man vs. Food. Next week’s episode will feature restaurants from San Jose.
Joey Chestnut to do Pat’s Run
Joey Chestnut has updated his YardBarker blog with a report on his macaroni and cheese record he set at halftime of the San Jose Stealth game. He announces that he will run in Pat’s Run, a 4.2 mile race held in Tempe, Arizona on April 18 and hopes to finish in 35 minutes or less. The race will honor the memory of Pat Tillman, former Arizona Cardinal and Army Ranger.
Oyster contest on “How’s Your News?” Sunday
Knoxville.com has an article about How’s Your News?, an MTV program starring seven disabled reporters produced by South Park co-creator Matt Stone. Each episode documents a stop made during a cross-country trip. In New Orleans, the reporters visited a pirate convention, a prison rodeo and an oyster eating contest, which was probably the Acme Oyster competition since the other two events took place in April.
TV Guide reports the New Orleans episode will be televised at 10:30 pm on Sunday, March 1.
Juliet Lee to appear on Guy Fieri tonight

Kobayashi to promote McHotDog Classic
Kobayashi’s blog reports that he will be making an appearance at the MetroSquare McDonald’s on March 2 to promote the addition of the McHotDog Classic to the menu of Japanese McDonald’s.
The MelonSunshine blog has a picture of the new menu item, which will cost 220 yen.
Dave “US Male” Goldstein wins crawfish
6ABC.com has an article and video from today’s crawfish eating contest at the Showboat Mardi Gras Casino in Atlantic City which reports that Dave “US Male” Goldstein was the unexpected winner of the contest with a total of 4.99 lbs. in 12 minutes. Sonya “The Black Widow” was second.

Nathan’s Famous clip on “Holiday Foods”
The segment from Holiday Foods about the Fourth of July hot dog eating contest held at Nathan’s Famous in Coney Island can be viewed on the History Channel’s website. The clip contains a short contest between Eric “Badlands” Booker and Famous Fat Dave which Ryan Nerz provides commentary for.
Olivia Wilde discusses her eating ability on “Ellen”
(From shpwrckd twitter) Olivia Wilde of the Fox Network show House MD appeared on today’s episode of Ellen and a video clip from her segment can be viewed online. The portion of the clip in which Olivia discusses her gastronomic prowess begins around the midpoint of the clip. She says she has a huge appetite and has never lost an eating contest, and that her competitions have been pretty official (but not IFOCE level contests) and include a victory in an Australian event where she ate 33 pancakes in 20 minutes. The clip ends with Olivia proposing a vegan eating contest with Ellen.

Joey Chestnut macaroni record video

A video of Joey Chestnut’s apparance at the San Jose Stealth game on Saturday in which he set the IFOCE macaroni & cheese record is available, along with a podcast of an interview on KNBR he did the day before to promote the event. TheIFound5Dollars blog says that Saturday’s game had the seventh largest crowd in Stealth history.
A video of another Joey Chestnut appearance from January where he ate 5 burritos at a scout troop meeting can also be viewed on youtube.

Philly vs. IFOCE 4 on 4 in Wing Bowl 18?
Dan Gross’ column on philly.com mentions George Shea’s appearance on 610 WIP last week and says that the proposed contest in which 4 IFOCE members would face off against 4 Philly-area eaters would take place in Wing Bowl 18 next year if it occurs.
