WorldPictureNetwork has a good gallery of last Thursday’s Nathan’s qualifier in Las Vegas. The captions are quite good in regards to names, but unfortunately the only result listed is Pat Bertoletti’s winning amount. Robin Leach, formerly of “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous”, was a commentator.

Andrew “Skinnyboy” Lane has a travelog of Thursday’s Nathan’s qualifier in Las Vegas with numerous pictures. He has a picture of the undercard for hotel employees, won by Ron Koch with 18 hot dogs in 6 minutes.

update The event was to announce the contest which will take place on May 29. Premier Travel Inns has a page about the contest. First place is 500 pounds.

Steve DePino photographed the Eat the Meat wing eating competition held in New Haven, CT Saint Patrick’s Day and placed his pictures in a slideshow. Apparently Joe Menchetti did not compete (the winner wore a bird costume), nor does he appear in the finalists list, so he might have been banned for being a professional.

There has not been many articles about day 2 of the Chowdown. This entry from a San Jose Mercury blog about Joey Chestnut is the only news coverage I have been able to find.
