The Wingstop in Irvine, CA will hold a wing eating contest on February 11 awarding a round trip airfare for two.
Last year, it was announced that the first qualifier for the 2012 West Coast Hot Dog Eating Championship ($20,000 purse) at the Derby Deli in Mission Viejo, CA would take place tomorrow. (I have not seen any recent information about the contest.)

The West Coast Hot Dog Eating Championship had a logo for each competitor. Most of the logos can be seen in Matt Stonie's gallery of the post contest press conference. The only other contest that had a logo for each entrant I am aware of was the 2006 Nathan's finals, where Liz Kellermeyer created a monster to represent each participant. (Some 2007 buttons of Liz')

The Gringo Bandito Taco Challenge will be the first United States contest against other competitive eaters for Takeru Kobayashi since the Krystal Square Off 6 finals in September 2009. The contest is expected to start at 1 pm Pacific, 4 pm eastern and can be viewed online at http://www.livestream.com/gringobandito.
