Kobayashi will appear at the Supermacho Taco Eating Contest at the Rehab Lounge in Omaha on Sunday The contest will award $215 cash ($125 to the winner) and $300 worth of additional prizes.

Defending champion Joey Chestnut (along with all other previous winners) and Matt Stonie are not expected to compete.

Pat Bertoletti set the original record of 4:10 for the Kickapoo Joy Juice Taco Trough Takedown on WCIU's "You & Me This Morning today. DNAInfo reports that someone who can finish the 6 pound "Big Jim Reeves" and a half liter of Kickapoo Joy Juice will in 4:09 or less will win $5000. A finishing time of 4:10 - 6:09 will result in a $2000 prize. Professional eaters including Kobayashi and Molly Schuyler are welcome to compete in the contest.
