JigsawMofo has uploaded a video of her of her successful attempt at the cheesesteak challenge at the Cheesesteak Shop in Sacramento. She was the first woman to complete the challenge. She has also uploaded a video of her eigth unsuccessful attempt at the Kitchen Sink challenge at the San Francisco Creamery in Walnut Creek, CA.

The only information I have obtained about the San Jose State qualifier is that Bryan “Big Sexy” Beard will be competing in it. I don’t know what time it will be held or where on the San Jose State campus it will take place.

Aces Golf Magazine reports that Joey Chestnut will be participating in an eating contest at the Hooter's Owl Nest at the Nationwide Tour event at TPC Stonebrae in Hayward, CA at 4:30 (Pacific time) today. The top 2 prizes are described as "incredible". NFL great Jerry Rice made his pro golf debut at TPC Stonebrae yesterday.

C C Kung wrote a blog entry about a trip to Pho Garden in Mountain View, CA where he encountered Joey Chestnut setting the record for the pho noodle challenge (4 lbs. in 21 minutes). Pat Bertoletti posted to his facebook that he set the pho challenge record at Saigon in St. Paul, MN.
