The Belfast Telegraph reports that the Hillsborough Oyster Festival in Northern Ireland has been canceled after losing funding. The event's eating contest had brought in MLE competitors including Sonya Thomas, Matt Stonie, Miki Sudo and Bob Shoudt. Newyork.CBSlocal.com reports that 210,606 pounds of supermarket hot dogs have been recalled due to metal contamination. The faulty products are 14 ounce packages of “Nathan’s Skinless 8 Beef Franks†with a use by date of August 19, and 16 ounce packages of “Curtis Beef Master Beef Franks†with a use by date of June 15.
