Two flip-counters were needed for Molly Schuyler’s total since they only had two digits (similar to Takeru Kobayashi in 2001)

Direct Action Everywhere posted a video of their interference with a wing eating contest in San Francisco Saturday. Earlier this summer, the vegan activist group disrupted the eating contest at the Chicago Ribfest and the Nathan's finals.

A pasta eating contest that was to have been held in Belmar, NJ today was canceled along with the entire second day of the San Gennaro Festival due to terrorism concerns. Yesterday, bombs were found on a 5K course in nearby Seaside Park, NJ.
