Takeru Kobayashi will face off against a Taiwanese competitive eater tomorrow on Japanese television. The stage is labeled "Battle of the Big Eaters" so he might compete on Team Japan in Battle of the Big Eaters 4 later this year.
Yesterday, Robert McKinney uploaded a video the Gringo Bandito Chronic Taco Challenge held last month in Las Vegas. Carmen Cincotti noticed that Molly Schuyler's counter did not get updated after she finished a tray at 9:06 and at the 15:11 mark, Kobayashi had his tray swapped with a new one. Kobayashi says that the trays were recounted accurately after the contest. Molly Schuyler has yet to comment.

The Las Vegas Sun has an interview with Takeru Kobayashi about competing in the Gringo Bandito Chronic Tacos Eating Contest on Friday. He incorrectly claims it will be his second contest in Las Vegas after recording shows for Spike TV in 2007; he also won the US Open of Competitive Eating tournament in 2005. On Joey Chestnut he says: "I don’t like him at all, I dislike him very much."

Takeru Kobayashi will do an eating exhibition using Fleisher’s hot dogs as part of a fundraiser for Orlando shooting victims at the Kings County Distillery in Brooklyn July 4. Here is how he has spent the previous July 4s in the 21st century.

Takeru Kobayashi appeared on today’s episode of Matsuko Deluxe a show starring a plus-size transvestite. Additional guests include:
