The finals for this year's pizza eating contest at Dani's House of Pizza in Queens, NY will take place on August 13 and award $1250 ($750 to the winner). Weekly qualifiers will be held on Saturday from July 16 to August 6.

The Brooklyn Paper claims that Takeru Kobayashi actually ate 65 hot dogs at his rooftop event in Manhattan instead of the claimed 69. A Yardbarker report (via Kobayashi twitter) about the event claims that "credentialled 'spies'" from Nathan's were responsible for the claims of a miscount, but does not name the spies or state what their credentials were.
