Juan Rodriguez accuses Erik Denmark of “Pocket Dog Gate”
On twitter, Juan “More Bite” Rodriguez accuses Erik “The Red Denmark” of “Pocket Dog Gate”. While Carmen Cincotti’s video shows Erik Denmark inserting his hand in his pocket immediately following the Nathan’s Washington, DC qualifier (around the 14:20 mark), it is not 100% clear if he had a hot dog in his hand. Denmark was credited with 32 hot dogs for the contest, which edged out Steve Hendry by one hot dog for the wild card.
The Daily Beast has an interview with Julie Rosenberg, who has performed as "The Frankster" in the previous 15 Nathan's finals.
The NY Daily News has a report on yesteray's weigh-in for Nathan's finalists claiming that Sonya Thomas was absent due to an undisclosed illness.

Rich Shea announces that places 6th-15th in the Nathan's finals will pay out $500/$450/$400/$350/$300/$250/$200/$150/$100 for both men and women. The total payout of $45,500 will make it the 2nd most lucrative event in MLE history after the 2009 Krystal Square Off.
