Brad Sciullo wins Men’s Culinary Classic pierogi contest
The Herald Standard reports that Brad Sciullo won the pierogi-eating contest at the Men’s Culinary Classic at the Washington County Fairgrounds by eating 58 pierogis in 3 minutes. Some more facts about Sciullo from the article:
- He says he almost died and had a temperature of 104 after eating the 15+ pound Denny’s Belly Buster burger
- He claims to have won the world milk drinking competition by drinking a gallon of milk in 22 seconds
- His next contest will take place Thursday at the finals of the tofu wing eating contest at the Double Wide Grill.
MLE crawfish contest April 10
The MLE facebook announces that a crawfish eating contest will take place at the French Quarter Festival in New Orleans on April 10.

2010 Munch Madness (Hartford area) starts today
The first qualifier for the Munch Madness slider eating relay will be held at the Wood n Tap in Rocky Hill, Connecticut tonight. Four other qualifiers will be held in Connecticut during March. The finals on April 5 will award VIP Tickets to the Patriots’ Opening Day Game.

Furious Pete Documentary accepted into HotDocs festival
Furious Pete’s facebook announces that The Story of Furious Pete has been accepted into Hot Docs 2010, the largest documentary festival in North America. The film will debut on April 30 and also be shown on May 9. Tickets for the two showings can be purchased online.
