Fire & Ice Restaurant in Richmond will hold a hot dog eating contest on Saturday that will award $250 to the winner.

Kobayashi eats 387 bowls of noodles in 2001 contest

Another contest from the 2001 Japanese Nathan’s qualifier is available on youtube. In this competition, Takeru Kobayashi eats 387 small bowls of noodles weighing 9.67 kg (21.3 pounds) to win. The noodle servers, who refill the bowl immediately after it is emptied, are almost as impressive as the eaters.

The Carolina (Raleigh/Durham) Ale House will host the second of five qualifiers for its Wing Fling contest tonight. The finals on October 30 will award a year of wings and beer.

Registration is now open for the 6th Annual Chef One Dumpling Eating Contest that will take place at the NYC Dumpling Festival on October 24. Previous contests awarded $1,800 for both the men's and women's division.

Part 2 of Brad Sciullo on The Colbert Report

The second part of Brad Sciullo’s attempt at the 15+ pound Belly Buster Burger at Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub on last night’s episode of The Colbert Report is now available on the program’s website. The segment closes with Sciullo expressing his desire to eat a live shark and Colbert responding “I think we’re going to need a bigger throat”.
