Jessica's server claimed that no woman has completed the challenge, which is contradicted by a challenge attempt report from March claiming a woman held the house record (30 minutes) at that time (Joey Chestnut has since broken that mark). (Nancy Hua also claims to have finished the challenge in April)

The MLE Facebook reports that Joey Chestnut lost to a team of 5 amateurs at the Francisco Street Food Fair, 31 tacos to 27. TheCloveMan has a video of the contest.
Cip was one of the five amateurs. He ate 3 tacos and won $100 and a year’s supply of Pepto Bismol.
A Pepto Bismol press release announces that Joey Chestnut will compete against a team of amateurs at the San Francisco Street Food Festival and Buffalo Wing Festival. The SF Street Food Festival takes place on August 21, same as the gyoza contest in Los Angeles, so Joey Chestnut might not be able to win his fourth straight gyoza contest.
SFWeekly reports that John's Snack & Deli in San Francisco will start a spicy burrito eating challenge today.

New location for Bay Area qualifier
The northern California Nathan’s qualifier will take place this Saturday at The Shops at Tanforan in San Bruno in the JCPenney Lower Court. Previous qualifiers were held in Daly City.
