A video clip of Crazy Legs Conti’s phone interview on the April 1 “Mike and Mike” show can be viewed on ESPN.com. A graphic lists Crazy Legs’ first name as “Kevin”. That video clip is available for download.
The full interview is available in an audio podcast. Crazy Legs’ interview starts around the 30 minute mark. Crazy Legs will probably be a commentator for Mike Golic’s contest and he suggests Krystal burgers as the food. Conti says that Sonya will not defend her 2005 title at the Acme Oyster eating contest.

There is also a link to a contest entry form, but it appears to be for the 2005 contest.

A 1973 article in Sports Illustrated about Pete Maravich mentions a halftime eating exhibition by Little Arlene:
Over the last five years the Hawks’ owners have tried five different general managers in the hope of getting reluctant Georgians, who stay home in the hope that Tuesday night football might miraculously appear on the tube, out to watch basketball. The latest candidate is 33-year-old Pat Williams, a promotional wizard fresh from crowd-building stints in Philadelphia and Chicago where he staged such halftime acts as Victor the Wrestling Bear and Little Arlene.
Williams, a mild-mannered, bespectacled, churchgoing sort, remembers Arlene with particular fondness because she was recommended to him in Philly by a player he had farmed out to Scranton of the Eastern League. Arlene, who weighed just 105 pounds, challenged five grown men to an eating contest and won by gobbling 77 hot dogs, 21 medium pizzas and 19 Cokes during a 76ers’ game. She then told the public-address announcer to inform the audience that she would take on any five fans in a postgame oyster-eating bash at Bookbinders restaurant. Hoping to come up with another red-hot attraction, Williams called a meeting of the Hawks and asked for their ideas. The only one he received came from Maravich, who allowed as how he thought a lot of folks would show up if Williams screened Deep Throat every halftime.
The exhibition also appears in a recent book about Maravich.
Pat Williams did an interview last month where he mentioned Little Arlene, but does not offer any additional details about her.

Beautiful Brian has a page comparing “Stick to Blogging” to the 25th anniversary re-release of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”. Commentary about the release “Stick to Blogging” explains how Michael Jackson has an additional impact on the CD.
Although some of the musical arrangements are the sole property of yours truly like “Dont ever call me again” “Came in as an eater” “Retaliation” and “Weigh my shit” “Black and White” , others are copyrighted material replaced by my own original lyrics but accompanied by tunes from major recording artists such as the Beatles and Billy Preston. In order to clear those hurdles and post on media player applications such as itunes stores and other high profile internet music services i would have to cut a deal with those companies and pay them thousands of dollars. I dont think so.
Michael Jackson currently owns the publishing rights to the Beatles’ songs, although there is speculation that financial difficulties might for him to sell.

(Via Gazizza.net) Babe Ruth was not the only New York Yankee outfielder of the 1910s/1920s famed for his appetite. According to baseball-reference.com:
1919 – One of the most bizarre off-the-field incidents history takes place in Jacksonville, Florida. New York Yankees outfielder Ping Bodie competes against an ostrich named “Percy” in a spaghetti-eating contest! Bodie wins the competition when Percy passes out after his 11th plate of pasta.
Some accounts have “Percy” dying after the contest.
