Broomfield Enterprise reports that the Wingstop of Broomfield, CO (Denver area) will hold a wing eating contest this weekend will hold an eating contest awarding two American Airlines round trip tickets and a $100 gift card. The first round will take place on Saturday and the top five will compete in the finals Sunday.
Lil Anthony's NY Pizzeria in Winter Springs, FL (Orlando area) will hold a pizza eating contest on Saturday awarding a LCD TV.

Registration is now open for the 2012 Krispy Kreme Challenge. The February 4 contest in Raleigh, NC entails running 2 miles, eating a dozen donuts and then running another 2 miles. Over 5,000 people have participated in previous challenges.

Steve Martorano asks who will beat Joey Chestnut at the meatball eating contest to be held December 10 in Hollywood, FL. Bob Shoudt is also expected to compete.
Eleven days after the contest, the Australian winners of the CP Biggest eater qualifier on November 19 have been announced. Brad Stokes defeated Felix Ariga in overtime to become the top male and Millie Chow won the women's division. A qualifier competitor comments that he was not aware of any overtime taking place.
