Patch.com has an article about Jamie McDonald finishing the 7 pound Home Wrecker sandwich challenge in 25 minutes at Real Urban Barbecue in Highlands Park, IL. Jamie was in the Chicago area to compete in a taquito eating contest and qualify for Bacci's pizza eating contest, which will award $2500 ($1500 to the winner) on Saturday. update RedEye Chicago reports that Jamie will attempt to eat the entire menu of BadHappy tomorrow.

A qualifier for the National Cheeseburger Slider Eating Championship will be held today at BGR in Tampa (female bodybuilder Emery Miller will apparently compete). The date was originally announced as September 28. Additional qualifiers awarding $500 and a trip to the championship in May 2013 will be held tomorrow in Bethesda, MD, Coral Gables, FL, Atlanta and possibly Point Loma, CA.
