Denver Man vs. Food filming report
The Denver Post has a report on the filming of a Man vs. Food episode in Colorado last week. One 7 pound burrito completed before Adam Richman started his challenge at Jack-n-Grill (from Skinnyboy).
Filming this week at the Roast Grill in Raleigh, NC has been moved to Friday and will apparently take place during normal business hours.

Jack n Grill recording details
Westword has information about the two Travel Channel programs recording at Jack n Grill in Denver this week:
Today at lunchtime, a film crew from the Travel Channel’s new show, Extreme Places to Pig-Out, will be at the restaurant filming fans’ attempts to down the big burrito. And on Thursday, January 22, Adam Richman, host of the channel’s Man v. Food, will be back at Jack-n-Grill at noon, taking on the seven-pounder himself.

Man Vs. Food recording at Jack n Grill (Denver) Jan 22
RockyMountainNews reports that Man vs. Food will be recording at Jack n Grill in Denver on January 22. The restaurant will also host a film crew from the Travel Channel’s new Extreme Places to Pig-Out show on January 19.
The challenge food will be the 7 pound Grande Breakfast Burrito. Andrew “Skinnyboy” Lane has a blog entry about his attempt. The restaurant offers free food for life to women who complete the challenge without assistance. Metromix has a gallery of three attempts to claim that prize.
Denver (KBPI) Wing Bowl information
Skinnyboy has a blog entry about his victory in a qualifier for the KBPI Wing Bowl in Denver. The radio station’s events page has two more upcoming qualifiers this week:

Saturday Jan 10 – Buffalo Wild Wings – County Line & Chester
The semifinals will take place before the Colorado Mammoth indoor lacrosse game on January 24th at the Pepsi Center. The finals will take place on the floor during halftime. The first prize is $1067.

Denver hot dog qualifier news video
CBS 4 has video of yesterday’s hot dog qualifier held at Steve’s Snappin Dogs in Denver. Donavan Busta was the winner with 7 hot dogs in 3 minutes and Matt Kish was second. It also appears that Andrew “Skinnyboy” Lane competed.

Denver hot dog contest with 4 qualifiers
A hot dog eating contest will be held at Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs in Denver this summer. The first qualifier in a series of 4 will take place on Sunday, June 1 and the top two finishers in each qualifier will advance to the finals on July 27. The grand prize is a $300 gift certificate to Sam’s Club / Wal-mart and the entrance fee is $25, with proceeds going to the Colorado Aids Walk and Project Angel Heart.

Colorado cookie contest coverage
Liz K wrote a report for Westword about the cookie eating contest held by the Denver Eating Contest meetup group on Friday. She brought along a friend Micah who would finish third, but did not compete herself despite cookie cravings probably caused by her pregnancy.
Andrew Lane was the runner up and produced a blog entry and gallery about the contest. “Mongo” Marquez was the victor.

Denver contest reports
Liz K attended a hot dog eating contest at Olde Tyme Drafts and Dawgs and wrote a blog entry about it for Westword. Entrants had to eat 15 hot dogs in under two hours. Bathroom breaks (without vomiting) were allowed. The restaurant will try to repeat the contest monthly.
