Monster deli sandwich at Sarge’s Deli

Diners who are looking for a Manhattan challenge after the termination of Hill Country’s “Feed Your Face” meal might want to consider the Monster at Sarge’s Deli, billed as the largest sandwich in New York.

update “Honky275” has a gallery of his Monster sandwich attempt. He received a Sarge’s T-shirt, but that achievement might merit an asterisk according to his caption:

I was debating whether I could hide bits of bread in my napkin, when I realized I could take advantage of the shift change among the wait-staff. If I left the table at JUST the right time, the new waiter or waitress would see a plate with just a few bites of corned beef on it, and perhaps assume that I was done with my meal – and not realize that a certified challenge was taking place….

Look, it was my first eating challenge ever – I took advantage of my surroundings, and I’m sure that if I stayed there until breakfast time, I eventually would have been hungry again, but it’s just not safe to eat meat that’s been left out overnight, right? So let’s just grab the t-shirt and head for the door…while I can still walk upright.
