Vapor at Saratoga Casino in Glen Falls, NY will hold a Wing Bowl on February 4 awarding $500 to the winner.
TheVerge.com has a review of 1-2-Switch, a package of minigames that will be included with the new Nintendo Switch platform when it is released on March 3. One of the games is an eating contest game requiring players to open their mouths in front of the camera.

Liz Lewis Casting has a call for a competitive eating spice specialist for a shoot in Los Angeles that will run from January 18 to 22. The role will pay $2000.
The Lunar New Year Festival in Richmond, VIC (Melbourne area) will hold a pho eating contest on January 22 awarding $1000 to the winner.
A podcast recorded at last week's BBQ eating contest held at Bear's BBQ in Hartford is available on youtube. MMA fighter Chael Sonnen and partner Brian Nichols combined to eat 4.7 pounds, which surpassed the 4.5 pounds eaten by restaurant owner Jamie McDonald. IHOP has started its All You can Eat Pancakes offer, which is available until February 12.
PennLive.com reports that a 14 year old student at Saucon Valley High School had charges of cyber harassment and ethnic intimidation filed against him for making racist comments while recording a wing eating contest held at his school. According to the DA, the student will probably need to complete a racial sensitivity program to have the charges dropped.

Ramsey Hinton is currently doing a food challenge tour of Chicago. According to the facebook for the Potholder Cafe in Long Beach, he is now the first person to have completed official restaurant challenges in all 50 states.
