BottomLineSox announces that the 1 pound 9 ounce McGreevy’s Beckett Burger will debut at McGreevy’s this afternoon. Josh Beckett will be present at the restaurant until 3 pm today and award Red Sox tickets. The burger weight was selected to honor of Josh Beckett’s #19 uniform number. The burger price is $30 and a portion of the cost will go to the Josh Beckett Foundation. All purchasers will receive one of two T shirts which will announce whether they succeeded or failed in the challenge.
The Trenton Thunder have also started the Thunder Burger Challenge which consists of three grilled cheese sandwiches separated by half pound burger patties.
