MLive has the details about Adam Richman's appearance at a West Michigan Whitecaps game tomorrow to attempt the Fifth Third Burger for an upcoming episode of Man vs. Food.
The team size for the 54 inch square pizza challenge at Big Mama's & Papa's Pizzeria in Los Angeles has been expanded by one. $1000 will be awarded to a group of six diners that finish the pizza in under 2 hours. update A request for team members (probably by the commenters on bodybuilding.com) has been made on the Man vs. Food forum.
SJ-R reports that Man vs. Food will be recording in Springfield, Illinois this weekend and the challenge will be Joe Rogers' Firebrand chili. The 40 & 60 inch pizzas delivered by a crane at the Pizza Factory, probably the most famous Springfield eating challenge, will apparently be bypassed.
Kooky Canuck (formerly the Big Foot Lodge) now has a King Kookamonga burger challenge weighing 12 pounds, which is free if completed by a team of 2 diners in less than an hour. A video of the first customers to order the burger is available.
The Heart Attack Grill's twitter reports that Gage Hughes finished a Quadruple Bypass Burger in about 2 minutes, just 15 seconds behind Joey Chestnut's record and about half of Jed Donahue's previous second place mark of 3:55.
A post on bodybuilding.com reports that ptflyforatallguy (6'8") and Dolfan_714 broke the challenge record at Red Devil pizza in Southern California by eating a 28 inch pizza in 11 minutes and 30 seconds.
