The Guardian has a preview of tomorrow's pie eating contest at Harry's Bar in Wigan, England, which has adopted a six-ringed logo and renamed itself the "Pielympics" in honor of the London summer games. update Dec 12 Martin Clare won the contest with a time of 23.5 seconds to eat one pie.

Sonya Thomas and Colin Shirlow will compete in the oyster eating contest at the Hillsborough Oyster Festival in Northern Ireland will start at 3pm Ireland time (10 am US Eastern). RakeandHerald.tv has a preview of the contest. update Amanda Poole reports Colin Shirlow defended his title with a record tying total of 233 oyters in 3 minutes.
