October 2003 Bits & Pieces reposted

BeautifulBrian.com has reposted the “Bits & Pieces” from five years ago. Brian had the following information about Dale Boone:

At the Pelmeni contest last month i couldnt understand why Badlands walked away from Dale Boone after Boone gave him a friendly pat on the back. Badlands had explained to me that Boone was calling all the eaters in Buffalo and waking them up at 4 AM. I dont know Boone that well but that doesnt seem like a very nice thing to do.

Paul Barlow’s best dressed list of 2008 released

Paul Barlow has released his list of the top 25 best-dressed IFOCE competitors (which actually contains 33 eaters, I think). His top 5:

1. Tim Brown
1.5 Paul Barlow
2. SykoBozo
3. Ron Koch
4. El Toro
5. Kevin Ross.

If there was a best dressed female rookie category, I would have awarded it to Old Home Week pierogi runner-up Larell Marie Mele and her leopard-print tank top. 😉

Brad Sciullo and Brent Ricord articles

PittsburghLive has an article about Brad Sciullo which calls him the world record holder in cannoli eating even though Tim Janus and Cookie Jarvis have eaten more cannolis. Brad says he has consumed a gallon of milk in 26 seconds, almost halving Joey Chestnut’s qualification stunt for Wing Bowl 14.

Brad Sciullo will compete in the Famous Famiglia pizza contest a week from today, which might upset some IFOCE members who did not get a slot in that competition and have abided by the IFOCE contractual restrictions.

The Star Telegram has an interview with corny dog runner-up Brent Ricord.

A list of the San Genarro cannoli contest winners and their totals follows after the jump:
