Matt Stonie was the male winner of today’s Nathan’s qualifier in Boston with a total of 42 hot dogs. Matt had to compete in a different area from the other competitors because the contest area was in the beer zone.

El Wingador court appearance Friday

update Jun 22 NJ.com reports that Bill Simmons’ bail was not reduced from $100,000. His sentence is estimated at 10-20 years if found guilty.

NJ.com reports that Bill “El Wingador” Simmons will have a court appearance tomorrow to seek a lowering of his $100,000 bail which has yet to be paid and that public defender Richard O’Brien will serve as his attorney. Redeye Chicago has an article about the "Gluttony Tour" where Pat Bertoletti and Tim "Gravy" Brown will attempt to complete four Chicago-area eating challenges in less than 48 hours starting June 29. Additional challengers are welcome; a donation of $250 will be made to the Chicago Food Bank if someone else beats their time on the tour.
