"Furious" Pete Czerwinski has produced a video of him finishing the Mac Daddy pancake challenge at Mac 24 7 in Honolulu in under 10 minutes. Joey Chestnut was the previous fastest finisher with a time of 15 minutes. Pete is not the first bodybuilder to finish the challenge; Nikki Warner ate the three 14 inch pancakes in 25 minutes in 2011.
Stephanie Torres and Craig Reed finished the Pigzilla BBQ sandwich challenge at Papa Buck's BBQ in Metter, GA at the end of August. Dale Boone was the only previous finisher.

Dave Brunelli wins Jake’s Wayback Burgers national contest

The official top 10 for the Triple Triple burger eating contest held at Jake’s Waybacks burgers has been announced. Dave Brunelli had the fastest time of 30 seconds (video of Dave Brunelli) and Joe Menchetti was the runner up with a time of 1:50. Nick Ke hler won the video contest.

According to facebook comments about the list, Jamie McDonald, Wayne Algenio and Will Millender should have made the top 10. (The #10 finishing time was 3:10). Will Millender announced he finished his triple triple in 2:08.

2013 Jake’s Wayback Burgers Triple Triple contest

Jake’s Wayback Burgers locations are holding a triple triple burger eating contest today. The fastest time nationally will be announced on September 18 and receive $3330. Not all restaurants will hold the contest today and competition times vary, so check before travelling to compete.

Anyone who wants to post his or her triple triple finishing time can do so in the comments of this thread.

update Sept 17 Fox News held a promo contest on Sunday. The winning time was reportedly one minute.

In the "Lactose Intolerant" episode of Mystery Diners, the undercover customers attempt to determine why the grilled cheese sandwich at Cheesie's Pub & Grub in Chicago had such a high success rate. The episode will be televised on the Food Network on September 13, 14 and 15.

Molly Schuyler finishes Great Steak Challenge in 3:22

The facebook page for The Great Steak Challenge at Steak an Main in North East, MD announces that Molly Schuyler finished the meal consisting of approximately 74 ounces of steak in 4:30. This would probably be the record for any 72+ ounce steak challenge, surpassing marks of 6:48 by Pete Czerwinksi (Lone Star in Toronto) and 8:52 by Joey Chestnut (Big Texan at Amarillo, TX) Wayne Algenio also finished the challenge in 28 minutes last night.

update Molly Schuyler finished a 6 pound gyro in 15 minutes today at Gyros and Goodies in Washington TWP, NJ.

update Sept 9 Molly Schuyler’s facebook page has a real time video of the challenge where her eating takes about 3:20 (from the 10 second mark to 3:30)
