Au.tv.yahoo.com has a segment about a 5.5 kg burger available in Perth, billed as Australia's largest restaurant burger challenge. A 220 pound "Hangover Burger" was also created in Perth on New Year's Eve.
The Sun has an article about Paul Mason, who has lost over 400 pounds since he was labelled the "World's Fattest Man" in 2009. At his peak weight of approximately 1000 pounds, he ate 20,000 calories a day. Naader Reda has a video of Miki Sudo (13 minutes) and himself (41) both finishing the 9+ pound team pizza challenge without assistance at Naked City Pizza in Las Vegas. Mike "Awesome Fat" Litman, finisher of a 10.5 pound prime rib at Ward's House of Prime on the Travel Channel's "Big Beef Paradise, will attempt become the first person to finish Mulligan's 7.5 pound monster burger challenge on tomorrow's episode of Fox6's Real Milwaukee".
Kevin Youkilis, formerly of the Red Sox and White Sox, signed a one year contract with the New York Yankees after he appeared in a 2009 episode (starts at 6:17 mark) of Man v. Food recorded at Eagle's Deli in Brighton, MA where Adam Richman was taunted with the chant "Yankees Suck". Youkilis responded to the heckling by saying "Now he knows how I feel when I go to New York City." (via NESN)
The owners of Hillbilly Hot Dogs in Huntington, CA will renew their wedding vows in a ceremony on December 12 in Valencia, CA that will feature a "Homewrecker" hot dog eating contest.
Grub Street announces that California-based Fatburger will return to New York City in the spring of 2013. The restaurant will offer a 24 ounce burger according to Gothamist.
