Bear's Smokehouse, the Connecticut restaurant founded by former competitive eater Jamie McDonald, is working with the World Central Kitchen to provide food to flood ravaged western North Carolina. They are still offering 2,000 hot meals a day.

Marcos "Monster" Owens ate 41 wings to win the first prize of $2000 in this mornings Wing Pole eating contest at Cheerleaders in Philadelphia. "Love Handles" was runner up with 40. (Source: El Wingador Instagram stories) update Apparently there were two Wing Poles today. Dave "US Male" Goldstein edged Dave "Tiger Wings and Things" Brunelli 188 wings to 186 to win his 3rd Wing Pole in the competition at Club Risque.

The Isle of Thanet News reports that Joel Hansen completed two breakfast challenges at the Dalby Cafe in Margate, England. He is the first person to complete the challenge since Libertines singer Pete Doherty finished it in 2018.
