Barstool Sports reports that a fight broke out between players and fans at tonight's New Jersey Jackals minor league baseball game in Little Falls, NJ while a hot dog eating contest was taking place. Frank "The Tank" Fleming of Barstool Sports was serving as judge of the competition. Dollar beer night might have contributed to the chaos.

Inside Hook has an article about "Fat Men's Clubs", popular in the late 19th and early 20th century, claiming they are the predecessors of competitive eating. In 1909, 380 pound Frank Dotzler ate 275 oysters, 8 pounds of steak, 12 rolls, 11 cups of coffee and 3 pies to win $50 in an eating contest at the Manhattan's Fat Men's Club.

Brazilian Ricardo Corbucci is expected to make his USA eating contest debut at this afternoon's ZBurger eating contest in Washington, DC. Dan Kennedy and Dave Brunelli are also expected to compete. Interestingly, defending champ Molly Schuyler is not on the roster.
